The Religious Studies Review is the Council's quarterly review of publications across the whole field of religious studies and in related disciplines, reviews over 1,000 titles annually, in review essays and critical notes. It also publishes bibliographies and an ongoing registry of dissertations completed or in progress.

The CSSR bulletin

Published four times per annum (February, April, September ,and November) the bulletin is one of the oldest publications in the field of Religious Studies and has one of the largest circulations of any periodical in the discipline. Click for information on recent issues.

Part academic journal, part intellectual forum, part circular, this non-refereed publication functions as an excellent platform for reaching a diverse readership. We enjoy a high degree of editorial freedom, and article appear in print much more quickly than they do in standard academic journals. The bulletin covers a vast array of topics and provides a space for interdisciplinary conversation among those engaged in the academic study of religion. We seek to address issues related to method and theory, pedagogical practice, and the field as a whole by publishing essays of general interest that highlight trends and developments in the field in order to stimulate critical reflection and debate. The bulletin showcases new innovations in the discipline and features the work of both seasoned and emerging scholars alike. We welcome essays from anyone interested in actively shaping the future of the field.
