The National Association of the Baptist Professors of Religion
The National Association of the Baptist Professors of Religion is a professional organization for teachers of religion in accredited colleges, universities, seminaries or divinity schools. It is not organically related to any specific Baptist group or convention.
The NABPR seeks (1) to promote communication, cooperation, and fellowship among teachers of religion; (2) to provide opportunities for consideration of literature, movements, and ideas developing in the field of religion; (3) to facilitate the sharing of curricular concepts, teaching methods, and new approaches to study all with a view toward promoting quality teaching in the field of religion.
The NABPR operates through elected officers, special committees, and an annual meeting. The elected officers comprise an executive committee that oversees the operation of the Association between annual meetings.
